Licensed or Candidate Therapist
(LCSW, LCPC, or LAC)

Montana Queer Alliance is growing and we are excited to expand our counseling team. We are looking for a Licensed or Candidate level clinicians who are passionate about serving marginalized communities. Our agency is queer led, LGBTQIA2s+, BIPOC, and rural centered, and serves everyone intentionally as a means to reconnect our communities.

Professional

  • 1 week PTO per year after 1 year of employment (based on average caseload of month prior to request) 

  • $250 monthly bonus after 1 year of employment, $500 monthly bonus after 2 years of employment. After 3 years, if fully licensed, in-house training on how to bill/credential for yourself. If still an associate, MQA will provide training once an employee is fully licensed.

Position Overview:

This can be a full time or part time position with benefits, strong administrative support, and a culturally affirming workspace. Providers maintain scheduling autonomy and design a caseload that fits their needs and capacity. Hybrid or telehealth options are available depending on the role.

For associate level clinicians, or candidates, this position is part of the Montana Queer Alliance Clinical Incubator Program. The Incubator provides a supported pathway to full licensure through weekly supervision, steady referrals, and a clear, sustainable earnings model. For fully licensed clinicians, this position offers a high autonomy, high support practice home with priority referrals from a trusted community organization.

Who We Are Looking For:

• SWLCs/LCSWs, PCLCs/LCPCs, etc
• Experience or strong interest in serving marginalized communities including LGBTQIA2s+, BIPOC, Veterans, disAbled, rural and tribal Montanans
• Commitment to trauma informed and identity affirming care
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment
• Desire to learn within a supervision rich environment 
• Willingness to collaborate within a small, community focused team
• Comfort with hybrid work environments and telehealth
• Interest in shaping new programs as the agency grows

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with community based mental health
• Experience with rural or underserved populations
• Familiarity with harm reduction principles
• Group facilitation skills
• Interest in developing clinical specializations or niche expertise

Job Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, or group therapy to diverse clients
• Complete documentation in accordance with MQA requirements and timelines
• Participate in supervision and peer consultation consistently
• Maintain ethical and professional standards in line with NASW and state rules
• Support clients through trauma informed, culturally responsive, and identity affirming care
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director, case management, and peer support teams
